# Rental inventory CSV import

Set product-level or variant-level rental quantities for many products at once.

1. Go to **Settings → Data** and click **Import rental inventory CSV**.
2. Click **Download CSV template** and fill it in. Rows use Shopify IDs to match products.
3. Upload your file (up to 5,000 rows and 2 MB) and click **Validate and preview**.
4. Check the counts for valid rows, rows creating or updating products, unchanged rows and error rows.
5. Click **Confirm and start import**. The import runs in the background and the page updates automatically.

This only updates rental inventory in the app. Your Shopify sellable inventory isn't changed.
