# Data & privacy

The app never sells customer data or uses it for advertising or profiling. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Personal data is kept for these periods:

| Data | Kept for |
| --- | --- |
| Unfinished bookings and ID uploads | 48 hours |
| ID uploads on completed bookings | 30 days after the rental ends |
| Personal details on completed, cancelled or refunded bookings | 730 days after the rental ends |
| Personal details on past try-ons | 180 days after the appointment |

## Customer data requests

When a customer asks Shopify for their data, the request appears in **Settings → Data → Customer Data Requests**. Shopify requires these to be completed within 30 days.

1. Click **Download secure JSON** to get the customer's rental bookings and try-on records.
2. Provide the file directly to the store owner.
3. Click **Mark as provided**.
